Long Sands Beach, York, Maine : Long Sands Beach stretches for more than a mile along Route 1A north of the town of York, Maine.
This white sand beach is popular for swimming, surfing or just walking.
Cape Neddick forms the northern boundary of Long Sands Beach and on clear days the famous Nubble Lighthouse can be seen at the tip of the Cape.

Short Sands Beach, York, Maine : Located on Route 1A just north of York, Maine, Short Sands beach is a small sandy beach tucked into the curve of the north side of the Cape Neddick peninsula, home of the famous Nubble Lighhouse.
Driving along the Maine coast on April 22, 2006, heading back to New Hampshire, I stopped to take some photos.
