Campbell HS Football 10/24/2009 : Newport High School came to Litchfield on a brilliant, sunny Sunday afternoon.
When they left the sun was setting and they were on the short end of a 27-0 score.
The Cougars, once again, came to play - big time.

Campbell HS Football 9/26/2009 : What a perfect fall afternoon for a football game.
Gilford showed how tough they could be by tying the score at 14 with second to go in the first half.
However, several costly trun overs in the second half opened the door for Campbell.
Final score Campbell 28, Gilford 14.

Campbell HS Football 11/22/2008 : Saturday, November 22, was cold - very cold and the Courgars from Campbell High School were headed north to Franklin, NH, for the Division 6 Championship game.
Roland James, former N.E. Patriot and All-Pro defensive back, was on hand to lend the Cougars some timely advise and moral support.
An early Campbell turnover lead to Franklin's, and the game's, only score and after 48 minute of top-notch high school football, the Courgars came up on the short end of an 8-0 final.

PLEASE NOTE - although I was able to take some good photos of the Cougars in action, I feel my best shots were taken AFTER the game was over.
That is when the Litchfield coaching staff went from teaching football to building character. It was an extremely moving experience and I feel fortunate to have been there.

Campbell HS Football 11/08/2008 : Several days of rain had made the field at Mascoma Valley High School slick and sloppy, and a light, steady rain throughout the game made a mess of Campbell's white uniforms.
Did the Cougars mind? Not at all. They walked away with a 35-7 win and a spot in the playoffs.

Campbell HS Football 10/25/2008

Campbell HS Football 10/11/2008 : The Cougars of Campbell High School were unable to overcome costly turnovers and a very tough team from Franklin on this fall Saturday afternoon.
There were moments when it seemed Campbell would be able to catch up, but Franklin kept the pressure on.
Talk is - the two teams will probably see each other in the playoffs.

Campbell HS Football 9/28/2008 : It was a warm, misty, drizzly Sunday in Litchfield, New Hampshire, as the 2pm kickoff approached.
The team from Interlakes Regional High School, along with a group of hardy fans, had driven down from Meredith, New Hampshire, for the contest.
When the final whistle blew two hours later, the Campbell Cougars had rolled to an impressive 47-0 win,

1998 John & Football : For a few months in 1998 my son John pursued a career in football at Alvrine High School.
I'm still looking for the negatives for his one and only varsity game.
The career was cut short by a broke wrist.
